Hi,

On Thursday June 15th you have the possibility to learn about what additional techniques you can use in the SEM. We organize a workshop on SEM in-situ techniques "Microscopy is more than images" where we will introduce some of the tools you can add to SEMs.

You can study tribology or nanomechanical properties using the Nanoindenter from AlemnisMap hardness or elastic properties over a surface or at specific points of interest. An inclusion, at a grain boundary or comparing mechanical properties of different phases in a material. Measure mechanical strength of fibers or particles.

If you work on photovoltaics, LEDs, electronics or functional materials you can perform electrical characterization using the Kleindiek micromanipulators for electrical probing.

For many applications it is interesting to map functional properties together with topographic imaging or chemical mapping. Adding an integrated AFM into the SEM chamber can give you many additional imaging modes. Check the LiteScope AFM from Nenovision that can be installed in your SEM.

If you want to study things in 3D you can add a ultra microtome to the SEM. The Katana microtome from Connectomx can be added to the SEM stage on most full size SEMs.

At Scandem we will show our popular TM4000 Tabletop SEM equipped with Bruker EDS of course.

You can register here for the whole meeting or just one day.

If you only want to join our workshop you still need to register for this single day, cost is 1600 SEK.
